Course Description

An examination of the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of the human from conception to death through a multicultural lens. A scientific approach is applied, which aims to explain growth, change, consistency and variations in development through the lifespan. Topics covered include heredity/ epigenetics, sex and gender development, socialization influences/ parenting, trauma, identity formation, mid-life challenges, and practices surrounding death and dying.
