Introduction to Digital Art

Art Creative Arts, Literature, and Communication

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of digital art, including design principles, digital file management, and output techniques. Through hands-on projects using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, students will explore the possibilities of raster and vector graphics while developing essential computing skills such as layers, selection tools, and editing techniques. The course also covers best practices for preparing digital work for accurate hardcopy printing.  This course is strongly recommended for students interested in digital art careers including graphic design, animation, and video production.
