Course Description

This course prepares healthcare professionals to design, implement, and evaluate effective educational programs for staff, students, and patients. Students examine major psychological learning theories and their application to healthcare education settings. The course covers assessment of learning needs and styles, development of measurable educational objectives, selection and evaluation of instructional methods and materials, and strategies for motivating learners. Students explore both didactic and clinical teaching approaches, developing skills in providing constructive feedback and maintaining collaborative learning environments. Topics include evidence-based educational practices, communication strategies, continuing education needs assessment, and mandatory education documentation requirements for healthcare organizations.
