Courses must be selected from at least two disciplines (two different prefix areas).
No more than 10 credits allowed from any one discipline
No more than 5 credits in world language at the 100 level.

Important Note: Beginning Spring 2026, this Biology course sequence is undergoing a redesign. The order of the sequence will change to: BIOL& 222 → BIOL& 221 → BIOL& 223. Additionally, BIOL& 160 will no longer be required as a prerequisite for this sequence . Students beginning this degree in Fall 2025 or later should not enroll in BIOL& 160 unless specifically advised to do so. A single course may be used to satisfy both the multicultural requirement and a single Humanities or Social Science requirement. Please consult the list under each distribution area requirement to identify courses that fulfill both criteria.
