The Paralegal Professional Certificate prepares students who already possess an Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, or higher degree for careers in the legal services field. Paralegals work under the supervision of licensed attorneys and are not authorized to practice law independently. Through coursework and practical application, students develop essential skills in legal research, document preparation, client communication, case management, and legal technology. Graduates are equipped with the knowledge and professional competencies needed to support legal professionals effectively in a variety of legal settings.
To enroll in this program, students must provide proof of completing an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree (or higher) with an official transcript from an accredited postsecondary institution. An Associate of Applied Science degree cannot be used to enroll in the Paralegal Professional Certificate program.
