Important Note: Beginning Spring 2026, this Biology course sequence is undergoing a redesign. The order of the sequence will change to: BIOL& 222 → BIOL& 221 → BIOL& 223. Additionally, BIOL& 160 will no longer be required as a prerequisite for this sequence . Students beginning this degree in Fall 2025 or later should not enroll in BIOL& 160 unless specifically advised to do so. Elective courses should be selected based on transfer institution and may include prerequisites for major courses (e.g., pre-calculus), additional major coursework, or specific general education.
No more than 5 credits in this category may be from courses that are not listed on the 2025-2026 Approved Distribution Course List.
No more than 3.0 PE activity credits may be applied toward the degree.
