Simple Requirements
Advising Notes:
Completion of ECE 141 - Promoting Positive Behavior I, ECE 142 - Promoting Positive Behavior II, and ECE 143 - Promoting Positive Behavior III is equivalent to course - Guiding Behavior and will satisfy the specialization course requirement.
EDUC& 130 may count towards either the ECE Short Certificate of Specialization OR the ECE State Certificate: Emphasis on Children with Exceptionalities, but not both.
The following courses are not currently offered by Tacoma Community College but meet the specialization course requirement per state guidelines:
ECED&134 - Family Child Care
ECED&138 - Home Visitor/Family Engagement
EDUC&136 - School Age Care
