Admission Requirements
Work & Education Experience
At least 1 year of work experience in a healthcare or business environment*
An Associate Degree in a health-related field or business-related field, from an accredited institution with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and a minimum of 2.0 in all applicable college courses OR
At least 90 college-level credits from an accredited institution with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and a minimum of 2.0 in all applicable college courses
*Students who have not completed the required coursework or work experience in the following areas may be assigned course: Individual Study in HIM by the Program Chair to achieve the competencies required for entry into 300‑level coursework.

Students must have the following completed before enrolling in upper division 300-400 level courses.
