Accreditation is a rigorous, nationally recognized process that affirms the quality, integrity, and effectiveness of higher education institutions. Through accreditation, colleges and universities demonstrate compliance with established standards and accountability to the educational community and the public. Accreditation also ensures that the degrees and certificates awarded are validated by the U.S. Department of Education and that the institution remains eligible for Title IV federal funding, including financial aid, teaching, and research support.
